Discover the World of Neasha Brown

Guess what? I just finished writing my first early reader children’s book! I’m so excited to share it with you.

Anyone who truly knows me knows I’ve always been passionate about education and development. At any given time, I’m diving into two to six different new things to learn at once. Oh, and here’s a fun twist—I recently started learning to draw, illustrate, and even animate cartoons, and this is coming from someone who struggles to draw a simple circle!

Honestly, I  always loved poetry and writing lyrics to a song but never saw myself as a writer. My journey has been a bit all over the place. I started with a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Franklin University, which gave me a solid foundation in business principles.

Later, I went on to obtain different certifications and certificates but no matter what I did, I could never shake the feeling of wanting to do more with children, especially in the area of education and development.

I was always looking for a way to make an impact in the lives of children, and writing children’s books gave me an opportunity to do that by addressing difficult topics in a way that resonates with young readers. Growing up, I faced my own struggles with my hair—the tangles, the pain when combing, encounters with bullies, and feeling different from my peers. I remember trying to understand why my hair looked different and what that meant for me.

I’m thankful to all of you for investing in this journey with me and to my  3 children who have been my inspiration and my muse. My son, born in ’99, my daughter, born in ’01, and my little bundle of joy born in 2020—they keep me grounded and inspired every single day.
